Travertine is a natural stone with a rustic look and durability. Travertine is a sedimentary rock, similar in composition to limestone. Its distinctive look is formed by geothermal springs and the evaporation of water and mineral over time. Basically it is found tanned in colour but at the same time can range from deep golden browns to light creams in addition to deep, Persian red and varied strained silver.
Diverse number of grades and various qualities are obtained of travertine tile. And the qualities vary from first quality to third quality. Apparently, the first quality has very little flaw or no flaw and the third quality has more flaws. If seen, this travertine tile is extremely practical choice, because it is very durable. From the thinnest to the thickest, these tiles require very little or no maintenance, that makes it a wonderful flooring option for heavy traffic areas in a home or business.
